Event Description
Eighteen area high schools will perform and compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the Annual Iowa Lakes Jazz Band Contest. Competing on Tuesday, Jan. 19 will be 1A & 3A schools including Alta-Aurelia 9:00 a.m., South O'Brien 9:30 a.m., Central Lyon 10:00 a.m., Woodbury-Central 10:30 a.m., LeMars 11:30 a.m., Gilbert 12:00 p.m., Bishop Heelan 12:30 p.m., MOC-Floyd Valley 1:00 p.m., Storm Lake 1:30 p.m., Spencer 2:00 p.m., Spirit Lake 2:30 p.m. and Estherville 3:00 p.m..
Competing on Wednesday, Jan. 20 will be 2A schools including: Okoboji 9:00 a.m., Sibley-Ocheyedan 9:30 a.m., Sioux Central 10:00 a.m., Manson Northwest Webster 10:30 a.m., Southeast Valley 11:00 a.m.,and South Central Calhoun at 11:30 a.m..
Competitions will be in the Estherville campus gymnasium and the public is invited to attend.
